Black & Blue-- Anna Quindlen

First, let me qualify that I'm blonde (which means that I tend to forget certain tidbits of information-- nevermind that I might suddlenly remember the names for every segment of spine in a mammal, but I digress) and that I read ALOT. Usually, like 5-7 books per week.

And occasionally, it does happen that I check-out a book that I've already read. With living in a rural area, the local library cannot be expected to sustain my biblio-habit, sadly.

Thus, I adopted the read-and-initial attitude, which has saved me quite a bit of time. I read a book, I initial it somewhere on the inside of the cover. While this seems to be working, I failed to realize that it would not prevent me from getting books that I'd read prior to devoloping my system.

Such is the case with this book, Black and Blue, by Anna Quindlen. I checked it out last week and was dismayed to find, two chapters into the book, that it seems quite familiar. I think what irritates me the most about my addled brain is that I really liked this book. It resonated with me because I am a mother and the crux of the story hits a little too close to home.

So here it is, and oldie, but goodie...check it out (from your library or not) at My Library (at the right).

Bon chance!
